One of the greatest themes in the Bible is forgiveness. The miracle of the gospel is that God has forgiven our sins because of the death of Jesus. Starting in Genesis there are a number of very important Bible verses about forgiveness. There are approximately 48 uses of the word forgive in the Old Testament and 47 in the New Testament.
