About
Josh Turansky was born on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and was raised in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. His Dad and Grandpa served as pastors in nondenominational churches over the last half century.
Josh was homeschooled along with his four other siblings. This was one of the greatest gifts his parents gave to him because he was crippled academically by learning disabilities. It took him twice as long to learn basic subjects like Math and reading. Homeschooling allowed Josh to go at his own pace and develop a love for learning.
When Josh was thirteen he committed his life to Jesus and began his Christian walk. Right away he felt called to serve in full time ministry. God gave him a deep love for the church and the church’s mission in the world.
At 17 Josh attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California. From 2001 to 2007 Josh worked as an administrative staff member at the college and taught a class on prayer and the Attributes of God.
In 2002 Josh married Melinda. Since that time they have been blessed with two boys and a baby girl.
Since 2007 Josh and his family has been on the island of Kauai pioneering a Bible College affiliated with Calvary Chapel. They are three years into the project and have consistently hosted 25+ students the past three semesters.
Josh’s passion is training young adults in various fields of ministry. Most of this training takes place through short term internships, and the Bible College setting.
You will find Josh has focused on four main subjects in his life: The Church, Education Management, Technology, and Young Adults. Most of the articles post on his site relate to one of those four subjects.
